My New Houseguest

It appears that a mosquito has moved in with me. I have been waking up in the mornings itching like crazy with little bites on my hands and arms. I have inspected the small welts & it's definitely from a mosquito. I finally saw the little bastard this morning when I was in the shower. Nearly slipped and fell trying to smash him. I have always been the best mosquito repellent for my friends and family - they will never get attacked if I'm nearby. Guaranteed.

Lucy & Sophie, my feline roommates, love moths, birds, flies, and any other creature with wings that buzz and fly around. Why do they not care about mosquitoes??? WHY?!

Bottom line is this: I should not have to wear Off! when I'm in my own home, but that's what it's come to...

I'm maybe ruining Kenny's first grade joke (Who's there?) but I had a mosquito issue once in my place. I finally had to launch a bug bomb to get rid of them.

Now I have endless flies. I feel your pain.

i completely relate, shorey. we still have one window left that is half- installed(manufacturer's defect) so we have newspaper stuffed around it to keep bugs out. it's not really working, and i get new bites every day. :(

I've done some research and it appears that the male mosquito only lives 10-20 days, but the female CAN LIVE UP TO 100 DAYS AND LAY OVER 300 EGGS. For the love of God, people!

Only my big sister would research the life cycle of the mosquito...and your posting isn't entirely true, Shorey! I attract those little suckers JUST as much as you, if not MORE!

KT - Yeah, I'm a dork. Hope your move to NY has gone well, sis! You're right, you were getting the bites as much as me the other day!

Vitamin B, or carrots. Eat more of one of them.
