Ants!

I don't know what's going on, but I seem to have sugar ants & they won't go away! They come from nowhere & find the empty honey jar awaiting transport to the recycling bin. They descend on the used energy gel packet I set, momentarily, on the counter. They climb the bottle of Gatorade that I purchased during a long bike ride the other day, but (thankfully, or not?) neglected to finish. Then I seem to get rid of them, and low and behold: they're back. It's been a vicious cycle over the last few weeks. Damn, ants!
